Beer supporters secure bus service to Beau’s Oktoberfest

CORNWALL, Ontario – The 11th edition of the highly anticipated Beau’s All Natural Brewing Co.’s Oktoberfest kicks off on Friday, Sept. 20 and Saturday, Sept. 21 at the spacious Vankleek Hill Fairgrounds.

Local restaurant Schnitzel’s European Flavours and Aleienated.ca have partnered to ensure Cornwall beer lovers have a safe mode of travel to the two-day festival. Buses will be departing from Schnitzel’s to the event on both Friday evening and Saturday morning.

Last year’s festival attracted  approx. 17,000 attendees and raised a total of $94, 323 for charity and local community groups. The festival has generated $711, 212 in funds for projects since its inaugural event. This year, 15 Beau’s beers, over 50 guest taps, local cuisine, activities and a themed midway can be enjoyed while 100 per cent Canadian live music entertains the crowds. The New Pornographers of Vancouver are headlining the stage on Friday evening, followed by Juno-award-winning rapper and songwriter Shad on Saturday evening, with numerous other supporting acts ready perform.

Round-trip bus transportation from Cornwall is available at a cost of $15, leaving from Schnitzels (158 Pitt St.) with  overnight parking available downtown and a queue of taxis upon return from the festival. Buses are set to depart from Cornwall at 6 p.m. on Friday, and 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday. Buses will leave from Vankleek Hill (towards Cornwall) at 11 p.m. on Friday and 9 p.m. n Saturday.

Adult admission to the festival is $32 and includes an Oktoberfest hat, a pretzel and your first beverage. Two-day passes are $33, and kids passes (18 and under) are $5. Tickets are available now for purchase online at www.beausoktoberfest.ca.
