CORNWALL, Ontario – Colts Captain Grant Cooper had a 3 point night to lead Cornwall to a 6-4 win over Nepean at the Ed Lumley Arena.
The win extends the Colts winning streak to 8 games.
Cooper added two assists to go along with his team leading 20th goal of the season as the Colts improve to 25-12-1-3 for 54 points and 3rd overall in the CCHL standings.
Alexander Montelone scored his first goal as a Colt and added an assist. Dean Derouchie (13), Keegan Mulhearn (5), Shawn Baird (4) and JD Pogue (12) also scored for the Colts.
The Raiders outshot the Colts 36-33 with Liam Lascelle picking up the win in goal.
The Wendy’s Restaurant Three Stars were First Star Montelone (COR), Second Star Henry McKinney (NEP) and Third Star Noah Konink (COR).
The Colts look to extend their winning streak this Sunday at home against the Kanata Lasers. Colts stars Nick Lalonde and Sebastian Dirven who played for Team Canada East at the World Jr A Challenge will be signing autographs and meeting fans after the game. The puck drops at 3pm at the Ed Lumley Arena.
