TORONTO —
Police say one person is dead and another was rushed to hospital in critical condition after a shooting in Toronto’s west end.
Toronto police say officers responded around 8:20 p.m. after reports of a shooting and people fighting in the area of Mimico Avenue and Lake Shore Boulevard.
They say officers found two men with gunshot wounds.
Police say one man died at the scene despite life-saving efforts from officers and the other victim was rushed to hospital in critical condition.
They say as of Thursday night no one has been arrested and there is a heavy police presence in the area.
