CHATHAM-KENT — One person is dead after a fire at a house in Chatham, Ont., early Saturday morning.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service says officers were called to the residence alongside local fire services shortly before 4 a.m.
They say they found a body inside the home after extinguishing the blaze
Police have not released the name of the deceased.
They say their major crime section is working with the provincial fire marshall’s office to determine what caused the fire.
Anyone with information is encouraged to come forward.
