TORONTO — The Ontario Lottery & Gaming Corporation has launched a sports-betting app that offers both online and in-store wagering options.

The company said the app is designed for both retail and online players and is the first of its kind to be introduced into the Ontario gaming market. Participants can place and pay for live bets in real-time on the new PROLINE+ or build bets and generate a barcode on the app, which can be used to purchase PROLINE tickets at nearly 10,000 retail locations across Ontario.

“OLG continues to expand our unique and integrated product offerings for our valued customers,” Dave Pridmore, the OLG’s Chief Digital & Strategy Officer, said in a statement. “The new app gives players the unprecedented ability to make a sports bet directly on the app or at retail using the bet builder functionality.

“This latest product enhancement reinforces our commitment to convenience and choice for our players while also offering a competitive sports book with the confidence, trust, and goodwill of the OLG brand.”

The app is free to download and secure and accessible on iOS and Android devices. Players can wager on the full suite of sports-betting markets and in-game betting available on PROLINE+.

The OLG added the app is designed to promote responsible play. Tools are built in to help establish and maintain healthy play habits, along with access to PlaySmart.ca, a responsible gambling program.
