OHL Roundup: Attack double up Spitfires, Sting bite Steelheads

WINDSOR, Ont. — A hat trick from Colby Barlow helped the Owen Sound Attack double up the Windsor Spitfires 6-3 in Ontario Hockey League play on Wednesday. 

Barlow added an assist for the Attack (14-7-0), while Servac Petrovsky scored three goals and Dani Goure contributed four helpers. 

Ethan Miedema scored twice for the Spitfires (12-5-3), who also got a goal from Anthony Cristoforo. 

Windsor’s Nick Chenard stopped 30-of-33 shots and Mathias Onuska made 17 saves before being replaced by Joey Costanzo early in the third period. Costanzo stopped all five shots he faced in relief.

SARNIA, Ont. — Sasha Pastujov and Marcus Limpar-Lantz each scored twice as Sarnia (12-6-4) downed Mississauga (11-6-3). Lukas Fischer and Tyson Doucette also found the back of the net for the Sting while Owen Beck and Luca DelBelBelluz had goals for the Steelheads. 

SPIRIT 4 FIREBIRDS 3 (OT)

FLINT, Mich. — Michael Misa knocked in the game-winning goal 27 seconds into overtime as Saginaw (15-6-1) edged Flint. Zayne Parekh, Joey Willis and Mitchell Smith all scored in regulation for the Spirit, who extended their win streak to seven games.
