NORTH BAY, Ont. — Kyle McDonald scored twice to power the North Bay Battalion to a 5-2 win over the Barrie Colts in Ontario Hockey League playoff action Sunday.
With the win, North Bay tied the best-of-seven Eastern Conference series 1-1.
Elsewhere, it was: Peterborough Petes 2, Ottawa 67’s 1; Kitchener Rangers 6, London Knights 1; and Sarnia Sting 2, Saginaw Spirit 1 in overtime.
Pasquale Zito, Kyle Jackson and Liam Arnsby had the other goals for North Bay. Goalie Dom DiVincentiis stopped 32 shots.
Jacob Frasca and Beau Jelsma scored for Barrie while Anson Thornton made 23 saves.

At Ottawa, Gavin White’s second-period goal proved to be the winner as Peterborough tied its Eastern Conference series at 1-1. Brennan Othmann also scored for the Petes. Jack Matier had the lone goal for the 67’s.

At Kitchener, Ont., Francesco Pinelli scored twice as the Rangers cut their playoff series deficit to 2-1. Francesco Arcuri, Ty Hollett, Mitchell Martin and Roman Schmidt had the other goals. Ryan Humphrey replied for London.
STING 2 SPIRIT 1 (OT)
At Sarnia, Ont., Luca Del Bel Belluz scored at 8:37 of overtime to give the Sting a 2-0 series lead. Ty Voit scored in regulation for the winners while Benjamin Gaudreau stopped 33 shots. Matyas Sapovaliv had the goal for Saginaw while Tristan Lennox made 45 saves.
