TORONTO — Syracuse linebacker Tyrell Richards was the first player taken in the CFL draft Tuesday night.
Richards, of Brampton, Ont., was selected by the Montreal Alouettes, who earlier in the day secured the first overall selection in a deal with the Edmonton Elks.
