MORRISBURG, Ontario – Upper Canada Village has been honoured by the Alzheimer Society of Cornwall with an award of Excellence, and has been recognized for Dementia Friendly Community Leadership.
Josée Roy-Pilon, Communications and Events with the Alzheimer Society of Cornwall and District visited Upper Canada Village team to make the presentation.

Upper Canada Village started working with the Alzheimer Society in 2016 in a pilot project to become dementia friendly. To date over 100 staff at Upper Canada Village have received training.
Recently, the SLPC received recognition from the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario (TIAO) at the 2018 Ontario Tourism Summit with an award for Accessible Tourism.
