CORNWALL, Ontario – Police located and charged Benoit Leclerc, 34, of Ottawa with theft under $5000 on Aug. 18.
Cornwall Community Police Service (CCPS) released a request for public assistance in identifying a man on Aug. 18.
The man was allegedly involved in the theft of an electronic scooter from a Ninth St. business on Aug. 15.
With the assistance of the public, police were able to identify the man.
He has been taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Sept. 27.
The CCPS would like to thank the public for their assistance.
