CORNWALL and UNITED COUNTIES of SD&G, Ontario – Environment Canada is reporting that Cornwall and the surrounding area can expect significant snowfall starting Thursday night.
“A developing low pressure system will track northward along the Eastern Seaboard Thursday and Friday. Snow associated with this low will affect Eastern Ontario beginning Thursday evening. Snow will continue Thursday night and end Friday morning,” reads the Environment Canada Special Weather Statement. “Current indications are that total snowfall amounts will be in the 10 to 15 cm range. Snow may affect the drive home Thursday evening, but is very likely to impact the Friday morning commute.”
According to The Weather Network, snow is not expected to start falling in Cornwall until around 3 a.m. on Friday and will continue throughout the day.
