CORNWALL, Ontario – Thomas Gee, 73, of Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 24, 2017 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, refusal and resist arrest.
It’s alleged in the early morning hours of Nov. 24, 2017 the man was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Third Street East. He was taken into custody after a brief struggle during a traffic stop and refused to provide a sample of his breath to police. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Dec. 5, 2017.
BREACH
CORNWALL, Ontario – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on November 23rd, 2017 and charged with breach of recognizance for failing to reside with his surety and for communicating with a certain person. He was also charged with breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the youth was found to be in breach of his conditions when police conducted a compliance check on November 23rd, 2017. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
WARRANT
CORNWALL, Ontario – Tammy Tyo, 43 of Cornwall was arrested on November 23rd, 2017 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the woman failed to attend court on November 2nd, 2017 for theft charge and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On November 23rd, 2017 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on January 4th, 2018.
BREACH
CORNWALL, Ontario – Detwin Curleyhead, 24 of Akwesasne was arrested on November 24th, 2017 and charged with breach of recognizance for being outside his residence between the hours of 10pm – 7am and for failing to keep the peace. In the early morning hours of November 24th, 2017 the man was found to be in breach of his conditions when he was stopped at the Port of Entry. Police were contacted and took the man into custody. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
