CORNWALL, Ontario – One day after the police had to put down a moose in Cornwall to prevent it from going on the highway, Cornwall Community Police Service reported they were following another moose that entered the city in the morning of Friday, Oct. 20.
“Please be advised we are dealing with another moose running in the City,” CCPS reported through their Facebook account. “Officers are attempting to keep it safe. Please drive carefully.”
A little over one hour after reporting the moose, CCPS’ Cst. Dan Cloutier said that the moose was no longer a concern.
“MNR (Ministry of Natural Resources) was contacted, however the moose has since wandered back into the bush and is no longer a concern,” he said.
