CORNWALL, Ontario – The Ottawa Police and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police participated in a joint motorcycle training day on Wednesday, Aug. 24.
The training focused on riding in groups. Specifically, in formations, passing and driving on rural roads and highways.
When asked what brought them as far south as Cornwall, motorcycle instructor Constable John Hall of the Ottawa Police said that new environments provide new challenges.
“We like to go outside of our jurisdiction,” said Hall. “Different environments provide different roads, landmarks and challenges.”
The group of around 18 bikers stopped in Cornwall for fish and chips for lunch.
“Fish and Chips is traditional for us,” Hall said.
