NORTH GLENGARRY, Ontario – On Nov. 2, 2018 at approximately 2:36 p.m., Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry(SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers observed a male in a Canadian military uniform soliciting funds for a charitable organization.
The investigation revealed that the male did not have authorization to wear the uniform.
Simon de Rothschild, 47, of North Glengarry, Ontario was arrested and charged with;
– Unlawful use of a military uniform – wear a uniform – Criminal Code of Canada section 419(a)
He was released and scheduled to appear in Alexandria court on December 12, 2018.
