SOUTH STORMONT, Ontario – Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers continue to remain at the scene of a missing scuba diver in the St.Lawrence River near Lock 21 on MacDonell Island in South Stormont Township.
Preliminary investigation has indicated that just prior to 9:00 a.m. on June 11, 2019, a diver returned to shore and his diving partner, for reasons under investigation, did not surface.
The missing diver has been identified as Thomas (Andy) PHILLIPS (age 46).
The search continues with the assistance of the SD&G OPP Marine Unit.
