CORNWALL, Ontario – Sarah Bombardier, 25, of Cornwall was arrested on March 16, 2018 and charged with the following:

Theft under $5000
• Assault
• Possession of a weapon
• Breach of probation

It is alleged on March 16, 2018 the woman attended a Second Street East business and removed property, making no attempt to pay for the items as she left the store. She was stopped by a Loss Prevention Officer and subsequently assaulted him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On March 16th, 2018 the woman was taken into custody and found to be in possession of brass knuckles. She was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 17, 2018.

ASSAULT

CORNWALL, Ontario – Jordan Johnson, 19, of Cornwall was arrested on March 17, 2018 and charged with assault. It is alleged during an altercation on March 4, 2018, the man assaulted another man and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 26, 2018.

TRANSPORTATION FRAUD, THEFT UNDER $5000, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME, BREACH

CORNWALL, Ontario – Ronald Regnier, 46, of Cornwall was arrested on March 18, 2018 and charged with the following:
• Transportation fraud
• Theft under $5,000
• Possession of property obtained by crime
• Breach of probation
• Breach of undertaking

It is alleged on March 17, 2018 and March 18, 2018 the man attended local businesses and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the stores. It is further alleged the man also did not pay for his taxi fare. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 26, 2018.

THEFT UNDER $5,000, BREACH

CORNWALL, Ontario – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on March 18, 2018 and charged with theft under $5,000 and breach of recognizance for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on March 16, 2018 the youth attended a Brookdale Avenue business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the item as he left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On March 18, 2018 the youth attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. The name of the youth was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
