It’s fun to win – just ask Carrie Laflamme from Winchester! Carrie won the weekly jackpot in the Kin Club of Russell’s Catch the Ace Lottery 6.0, taking home $10,086!
“My husband buys the tickets at Foodland in Winchester and usually puts his name on the ticket,” explains Carrie. “That week, he decided to change things up and put my name. So, I was the big winner! We plan to use the money for home improvements. There’s always something to do.”
Of course, the real winners are patients at Winchester District Memorial Hospital (WDMH) and the residents at Dundas Manor Long-Term Care Home. Funds donated to the WDMH Foundation will be directed to the Health Care Undesignated Fund. This fund can be used at WDMH or Dundas Manor – wherever the need is greater.
“Congrats to Carrie and thank you to the Kin Club of Russell for choosing the WDMH Foundation as one of the beneficiaries. We are so grateful for the long-term support from this generous club!” notes Managing Director Kristen Casselman.
Carrie says she’ll continue to play until the Ace of Spades is caught: “The odds are good, it’s good to support local and it’s a win-win for everyone. We are lucky to have Winchester District Memorial Hospital so close by and long-term care is so important.”
Tickets can be purchased online at https://kinclubofrussell.ca/catch-the-ace/ or at Winchester Foodland up until Saturday at midnight. You can also stop by the WDMH Foundation office in the hospital lobby during regular business hours. Thank you for selecting the WDMH Foundation as your charity of choice.
