CORNWALL & SDG – Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for the following areas on Thursday, Dec. 27 at 4:29 a.m.:
Cornwall – Lancaster
Maxville – Alexandria
Morrisburg – Long Sault
Winchester – Newington
Snow or snow mixed with ice pellets is expected to begin this evening and change to freezing night overnight and into Friday morning. Freezing rain is expected to then change to rain Friday morning.
Travel may be impacted or become hazardous at times. Surfaces such as highways and walkways may become slippery and ice build-up may cause tree branches to break.
Environment Canada encourages everyone to continue to monitor alerts and forecasts for their area.
