Arrest made in Riley’s break-in

CORNWALL, Ontario – After a lengthy investigation by the Criminal Investigation Division of the Cornwall Community Police Service, Jason Larose, 39 of no fixed address was arrested and charged with break and enter. 

It is alleged the man was responsible for the commercial break and enter that occurred on July 21st, 2017 at Riley’s Bakery. The Cornwall Community Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in the matter. ”It’s with the public’s assistance and the hard work from our detectives that we were able to make an arrest ” Stated D/Sgt. Maxwell.

WITNESS WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Aaron Potvin, 23 of Cornwall was arrested on October 6th, 2017 on the strength of a witness warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court as a witness and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On October 6th, 2017 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Jonathan Burwell, 27 of Snye, QC was arrested on October 6th, 2017 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on September 28th, 2017 for a mischief charge and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On October 6th, 2017 a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service assumed custody of the man from CBSA as they had the man in custody on the strength of Cornwall’s warrant. He was transported to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 28-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on October 6th, 2017 and charged with breach of recognizance for being within 250 meters of his ex-common-law wife. It is alleged on October 6th, 2017 the man drove by his ex-common-law’s residence and uttered something to her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

BREAK AND ENTER, MISCHIEF, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Andrew Mancini, 28 of Lancaster was arrested on October 8th, 2017 and charged with break and enter, mischief and breach of recognizance for failing to be in his residence at all times. He was also charged with breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on October 8th, 2017 the man forced his way into a residence and caused damage to property within the residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall. ON – Rachel Oakes, 28 of Akwesasne was arrested on October 9th, 2017 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the woman failed to attend court on September 26th, 2017 for drug related charges and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On October 9th, 2017 a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service assumed custody of the woman from CBSA as they had her in custody on the strength of Cornwall’s warrant. She was transported to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.
