Beyond21’s Giving Tuesday campaign at the end of November was a HUGE success. The organization surpassed their original fundraising goal of $5,000 and raised a total of $11,200.

“We are BLOWN away by these results and can’t wait to continue our goal of increasing the number of adults with developmental disabilities we serve!” they shared in a Facebook post.

Beyond 21 raised over $152,400 in event revenue in the 2022 calendar year. More than 629 donors supported the cause, increasing Beyond21’s overall revenue by 34% last fiscal year. Participants benefited from newly added activities such as: photography, e-newsletters, and ‘Challenger Baseball’. They also hosted multiple new, record-breaking events.

The organization currently serves 45 adults with developmental and physical disabilities, and they’ve had a busy holiday season.

Participants offered affordable photo sessions to the public in December with a beautiful winter backdrop. They did a great job greeting guests, hanging coats, handling the cash, and taking photos of families and babies as young as one month old.

Participants also did some in-house shopping thanks to the community who generously donated new and gently used items. All items were priced between $0.05 – $5.00. It was great practice engaging with handling cash and with gift wrapping.

Beyond21 expressed their ‘immense gratitude’ to the community that has helped them get to where they are today.

“In the new year, our focus will remain growing our program and helping reduce our waitlist of 30+ eligible participants,” shares Founder and Chair of the Board, Tish Humphries.
