CORNWALL (March 22, 2022) – The Cornwall Concert Series is back! The 2022 Spring Season offers four concerts. Two concerts make up the new subscription series (April and June), and two concerts are rescheduled from the Spring of 2020.
The season opens Saturday, April 9 at 8:00 pm with the Ofra Harnoy Trio. Renowned cellist Ofra Harnoy, is a five-time Juno award winner and a Member of the Order of Canada, with more than 40 solo albums to her credit, a national treasure! The trio also includes trumpeter, Mike Herriott, who is a respected multi-instrumentalist in both the classical and jazz genres, and pianist Jeanie Chung. The evening’s programme ranges from Bach, Corelli and Telemann, to Bernstein and The Beatles.
The re-scheduled concerts for those holding subscription tickets from 2020 are Django, Félix & Friends with Christine Tassan et les Imposteures on Saturday, May 7 at 8:00 p.m., and Beethoven on Record III with pianist Charles Richard-Hamelin and violinist Andrew Wan on Sunday, May 15 at 2:00 p.m.
The final offering of the season, and part of the new subscription series, will be Canada’s Ballet Jorgen’s production of Anne of Green Gables – The Ballet™, on Wednesday, June 29 at 7:30 p.m.
All concerts are held at Aulltsville Theatre. St. Lawrence College continues to require visitors to the theatre to show proof of vaccination and wear a mask through to the end of the semester (April 29). Individual ticket sellers will be contacting previous subscription holders. Subscriptions ($50) and single tickets ($35) for all performances may be purchased in advance at the Civic Complex Aquatic Centre Box Office, 100 Water St. East.
