Beginning September 15, Recovery Care’s Mobile Health Clinic will be broadening their reach in the community by offering its services to Library users and passersby near the Library’s loading dock, at the back of the Library.
The mobile clinic will provide individuals with a variety of services including assessment, support, education, and treatment for substance use and screening for Hepatitis C. Narcan kits, nicotine replacements, and general wound care will also be offered.
“Offering this type of service at the Library’s doorstep is a natural extension of Recovery Care Mobile Unit delivery effort and a further example of how the Library has become a centralized community hub.” We are very excited to get on with the program” said Pierre Dufour, Programming and Marketing Manager at Cornwall Public Library. The Mobile Health Clinic will be at the Library every Thursday from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
