The city has been buzzing in anticipation of Cornwall’s Night Market happening this Friday, August 12 from 4 to 10 pm. The event promises to be one of the largest in Cornwall this year, with approximately 50 vendors taking part and 15 business staying open late.
Cornwall’s Night Market is being organized by Dayna Gunn, owner of dg vintage, a boutique that specializes in vintage fashion from the 80s and 90s. Gunn was inspired by the Perth Night Market that took place at the end of May this year and quickly gained support from her peers to set up a similar event in Cornwall.
The response has been so positive that Gunn has had to turn down many vendors who heard about the event but missed the June registration deadline.
Vendors from Cornwall, SD&G, Ottawa, Montreal, and the GTA will be set up on the corner of Pitt and First with a wide range of goods for sale including vintage, jewelry, food, bath & beauty products, crochet, plants, home decor, candles, beadwork, oddities and more. Patios will be open for food and drinks and DJ Sound will be playing throwbacks from the 80s to the early 2000s. Spilt Milk Photography will also be there with a photobooth set up.
