The City of Cornwall announces Mellissa Morgan to the new role of General Manager, Human Services and Long Term Care. Ms. Morgan will commence this new position, starting September 5, 2022, and will take the immediate lead on the process for the recruitment of a new Administrator for the Glen Stor Dun Lodge.
“I am very eager to embark on this new path in my career,” said Ms. Morgan. “There are many synergies between human services and long-term care. I am looking forward to expanding my leadership skills in this new area and working with the staff of Glen Stor Dun Lodge.”
“With this reorganization, the City will gain the benefits of an accomplished leader and manager, that will allow us to further review and deliver quality service to the community,” said City of Cornwall Chief Administration Officer (CAO) Maureen Adams.
Mrs. Morgan began her career with the City in Social Services 1994, advancing and building on her career with more progressive and senior positions until being appointed in her current position as the Administrator of the Cornwall and SDG Human Services Department in 2020.
A graduate of University of Ottawa, she holds a degree in Social Science, and continued building on her formal education in the areas of Lean Methodology, Mental Health in the Workplace, and various leadership course throughout her career.
