A 32-year-old Cornwall man faces firearms and drug charges after Stormont-Dundas-Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers, the East Region Community Street Crime Unit and the East Region Tactics and Rescue Unit executed a warrant at a residence on the 100 block of Montreal Road in Cornwall April 17. Ryan Balston was arrested as police seized Percocet, cocaine firearms and currency. He was charged with possession of cocaine and opioids for the purpose of trafficking, three counts of careless storage of a weapon, two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime. The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear at the Cornwall Court at a later date.
