Flood watch now a statement

By Richard Mahoney

The Flood Watch issued by South Nation Conservation July 9 has been downgraded to a Water Safety Statement. SNC’s climate stations received between 30 and 50 mm of rain between Tuesday and Thursday morning and rainy conditions are expected to end Thursday afternoon. Water levels and flows remain elevated and are expected to decrease in the coming days. There were fears of heavy flooding earlier this week as remnants of Hurricane Beryl rolled through the region.
