WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Male, 38, of Cornwall was arrested on April 21st, 2023 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on April 20th, 2023 for a mischief offence and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On April 21st, 2023, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on June 1st, 2023.
CAUSING A DISTURBANCE, ASSAULT POLICE WHILE THREATENING TO USE A WEAPON
Cornwall, ON – Male, 32, of Cornwall was arrested on April 22nd, 2023 and charged with causing a disturbance and assault police while threatening to use a weapon. It is alleged on April 22nd, 2023, while police were investigating an unrelated matter, the man began causing a disturbance by yelling and screaming within a multi-unit apartment building. It is further alleged the man assaulted a police officer and made threats to assault the officer with a weapon. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 15th, 2023.
BREAK AND ENTER
Cornwall, ON – Female, 20, of Cornwall was arrested on April 22nd, 2023 and charged with break and enter. It is alleged on February 8th, 2023, the woman entered a closed First Street business without permission and removed an electronic device. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 22nd, 2023, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 1st, 2023.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT, THREATS, MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON – A 22-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on April 23rd, 2023 and charged with domestic assault, uttering threats and mischief under $5000. It is alleged on April 23rd, 2023, during an altercation with her boyfriend, the woman assaulted him, made threats to harm him, as well as damaged a mattress in the residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 16th, 2023. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – A 43-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 23rd, 2023 and charged with domestic assault and two counts of breach of undertaking for contacting his son and attending his son’s residence. It is alleged on April 23rd, 2023, the man attended his son’s residence, despite his conditions, where an altercation ensued with the man’s girlfriend. During the altercation, the man allegedly assaulted her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victims in the matter.
