Cornwall, ON – A 58-year-old Toronto man was arrested on February 7th, 2022 and charged with 8 counts of sexual assault causing bodily harm and 3 counts of sexual assault with a weapon. It is alleged between September and December of 2018, the man violently sexually assaulted a woman who was casually known to him, causing bodily harm. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On February 7th, 2022, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 28th, 2022. The name of the man is not being released to protect the identity of the victim.
MISCHIEF UNDER $5000
Cornwall, ON – Matthieu Lafontaine, 27, of Cornwall was arrested on February 7th, 2022 and charged with mischief under $5000. It is alleged on February 7th, 2022, the man damaged a vehicle belonging to someone known to him and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 19th, 2022.
