CORNWALL, Ontario -A fire that engulfed a North Dundas home on County Road 43 Thursday morning is not being treated as suspicious after an investigation by SD&G OPP.
Provincial police and North Dundas firefighters were called to the structure fire in the township’s Hallville area around 10:21 a.m. Thursday morning.
The occupants of the house, just west of Winchester, were not home at the time and are all accounted for, according to police.
No injuries were reported.
A section of County Road 43 between County Road 1 and Boundary Road remains closed to traffic for a few hours (approximately 4:30 p.m.) until the roadway surface in the area has been rendered safe.
Detours have been put in place.
