Loving father of Lyne Soramaki (Carl) of Thunder Bay, ON and Diane Burelle (Gilles) of Baltics Corner, ON. Proud grandfather of Ben Soramaki (Candice), Danny Bissonnette (Katy), Matt Soramaki (Laura), Mike Soramaki, Philipe Burelle, step grandchildren Chase and Alivia Fridd and great grandfather of Nash and Colt Soromaki. Cherished brother of Fleurette Parent (Yvan) of Valleyfield, QC; Suzelle Carrière (late Rene), Maryse Morin (Marcel), Marc Leblanc (Lise) all of Montreal, QC and Donald Leblanc (Huguette) of Valleyfield, QC. Predeceased by his parents Alpha and Régina Leblanc and by his brother Gilles (Claudette) of St. Anicet, QC. Brother-in-law to Claude and Lucie Taillon of Moose Creek, Serge Taillon of Gatineau, QC and Nicole Taillon (late John) of Thurso, QC. He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Yvon had a passion for nature, hunting and trapping. He enjoyed all his years as a Barber and had a great friendship with many of his customers. His passion for music, the Old Tyme Fiddlers and jamborees, so many wonderful memories will stay in our hearts. He was truly a role model to us and taught us never to give up. He truly loved life and proved it all the way until his last breath. Many thanks go out to all the wonderful care at the Ottawa Heart Institute. St. Isidore Medical Centre, Cornwall Community Hospital, Life Lab and Homecare. A Celebration of life will be held at a later date. Date and time to be announced. Funeral arrangements under the care and direction of MUNRO & MORRIS FUNERAL HOMES LTD., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772). As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Ottawa Heart Institute or to the Cornwall Community Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
