SMITH, Walter John – With family by his side, Walter Smith passed away on Tuesday September 12, 2023 at the Cornwall Community Hospital at the age of 85 years. Beloved husband of Dorothy Smith (née Douthart). Dear father of Kimberly Hebert (Robert) and Scott Smith (Kathy). Cherished grandfather of Christopher Hebert (Bina), Timothy Hebert (Emily) and Adam Hebert (Jessica) and great-grandfather of Jacob Hebert, Daniel Hebert and Dev Hebert. Son of the late Leonard and late Annie (née Pekeski) Smith. Walter loved cats and will be missed by his two cats, Quincy and Ben. Being an avid gardener, Walter enjoyed spending his time outdoors. He also enjoyed watching hockey and was one of Boston’s biggest fans.
