THOMPSON, Theodore Aniatarena – Peacefully, on March 2, 2019 at the Iakihsohtha Lodge. Theodore “Teddy” Thompson, of River Road Snye; age 87. Teddy was raised by his grandmother Bella Seymour. He learned how to take care of cattle, his grandmother taught him how to prepare and cook white corn. Teddy passed down his knowledge to his sons. Teddy was a painter for over 30 years. He was a member of The International Brothers of Painters and Allied Trades a local union of Camden New Jersey. He worked in Syracuse and Albany painting bridges. His sons followed and they all worked in New York. Teddy retired in 1993 from the Seaway International Bridge Corporation at the age of 62. Teddy enjoyed farming and gardening. He was known through our nations for his white corn (Kanenstoha:re). Teddy enjoyed watching hockey and wrestling with his family and going to lacrosse games. He was so proud of his lacrosse playing grandchildren and great grandchildren. We will miss our visits, playing bingo, his stories and his hugs. Beloved husband of the late Shirley (nee White) Thompson. Dear father of Chester Thompson (Lois) of St. Regis, Francis Thompson (Caroline) and Ricky Thompson (Marion) both of Snye, Rebecca Thompson (Joe) of Massena New York and chosen son Jason Thompson. Dear brother of Mike Thompson (Julia) of Cornwall Island. Proud grandfather of 15 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Predeceased by his parents Francis Thompson and Julia (nee Seymour) Thompson, one brother Edward “Eddy” Thompson, two sisters Beatrice Arquette, Jane Tarbell, 2 great granddaughters Kyleigh McDonald & Zyleigh Cook. Resting at the Homemakers Center 1126 River Road Snye Quebec from 12 Noon Wednesday, March 6, 2019. Funeral Friday March 8, 2019 for Mass of Christian Burial in St. Regis Parish Church, time to be confirmed. Interment Parish Cemetery.
