Susan “Sue” Derby
Passed away suddenly at the Ottawa Civic Hospital on Sunday, September 24, 2023. Susan Emma Derby of Alexandria; age 59 years. Beloved wife of Stephen Daniel ‘Dan’ Sloan. Dear daughter of Edna Jane (née Oille) and the late William Alexander Derby. Caring sister of Andrea Derby (Steve Carlisle) and Sarah Derby (Colin McIntosh). Beloved aunt of Andrew and Sam Carlisle and Katie and Ben McIntosh. Dear sister-in-law of Sean Sloan of Toronto and Monica Sloan (Gerry Hawkins) of Toronto. The family wishes to thank Dr. Patel and the staff in the Ottawa Civic – ICU for their wonderful care and compassion. Susan was an avid curler, loved to travel and spend time at the family cottage on Georgian Bay.
