SAUVÉ, Rita (Amell)
It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Rita Sauvé at Heartwood Long Term Care at the age of 96. Beloved wife of the late Lucien Sauvé (May 2007). Loving mother of Gerald Sauvé (Jill Feren), Julie Savard (Roger), Guy Sauvé (Sylvie Champagne) and the late Diane Dillon (Don). Sadly missed by 12 grandchildren, Benjamin (Kathy-Lee), Joël (Tarah), Jéremie (Alicia), David (Justine), Jonathan (Michelle), Sébastien, Emilie (Billy), Ariane (Danny), Mélanie (Nicolas), Nicolas, Matthew and Mark and by 15 great grandchildren. Survived by sisters, Theresa Rupert (late George) and Mary Rupert (late Enos). Predeceased by her parents, Francis Albert and Adiana (Vincent) Amell, brothers, Alfred, Gerald and sisters, Beatrice and Pauline. Rita lived a full life and happiest surrounded by her family. To celebrate her life, family and friends will be received at the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street (across from city hall) Cornwall on Sunday February 17, 2019, from 2 – 4pm and 7 – 9pm and on Monday February 18, 2019, from 9:30 – 10:30am. Funeral Mass, Monday February 18, 2019 at Precious Blood Catholic Church, Glen Walter, at 11am followed by cremation. Rite of Committal at a later date in the parish cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
