It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Helen Ruth Babcock (née Pichie) surrounded by her loving family on January 16th, 2024 at Cornwall Hospice. Beloved wife of George Babcock. Loving mother of Ashley Babcock of Cornwall and Trevor Babcock of Edmonton, AB. Dear sister of Diane MacLeod (Peter Kolada) of Alexandria, Kenneth Pichie (Gloria) of Weyburn, SK, Frances Wright (Les) of Moose Jaw, SK, Ralph Pichie of Iqaluit, Nunavut, Mathilda Krkljus (Zoran) and Russell Pichie both of Cornwall. She will be sadly missed by the Babcock family, nieces, nephews and friends. Helen is predeceased by her parents, William and Margaret Pichie (née Vaughan) and by her siblings, Harold and Wallace Pichie. Helen was the original “Happy Feet” footcare business and an exceptional nurse. She loved gardening and cooking. She will be remembered for energetic spirit and her compassion for others.
