Peacefully at the Montfort Hospital in Ottawa surrounded by his family on Wednesday, March 13, 2019. Russell “Russ” Ernest Orange of St. Pierre de Wakefield; age 73 years. Loving father of Kayla Orange (James) of Lancaster and Gered Currier of Carleton Place. Cherished and loved grandfather of Savannah. Predeceased by two sisters Elizabeth Brown and Joan Gowling (Alex) of Poltimore and by his parents Frederick and Gwendolyn Orange (nee Palmer). Will be dearly missed by his two brothers Winston Orange (Lucille) and Campbell Orange (Joy), lifelong friend Jackie Rose, many nieces, nephews, and friends. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario or to the MS Society would be appreciated by the family. The family would like to offer a special thank you to Jackie Rose for remaining by Russ’s side through his final days. Funeral arrangements under the care and direction of the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd, 46 Oak Street, Lancaster, Ontario, 613-347-3629. A Celebration of Russell’s Life will be taking place in Poltimore, Quebec come springtime, with details to come later. As a Memorial to Russ a tree will be planted in a memory woods. A tree grows – memories live.
