Royal Renwick
RENWICK, Royal – age 88, passed away on Saturday March 7, 2020. Beloved husband of Leila Renwick (née Austin). Dear father of Jim (Kersten), Rod (Liette), Kim Renwick, and Holly Morin (John). Cherished grandfather of Angie and Erin Renwick, Ashley Henstock (Patrick Major). Super Poppa of Ethan, Jayden, and Katelyn Major. His step-grandchildren Stephanie, Kris, Dave (Tasha), Jackie, Erica, and Fred. Step-greatgrandchildren Trent and Melody, Veronica, Samantha, and Dakota, Felix, and Hendrix. Predeceased by brothers Garnet, Albert, Earl, and Lloyd, and sisters Jean and Hazel, his parents Arthur and Martha (Towe). Royal grew up in North Glengarry. He achieved first class stationary engineer certificate and managed the steam plant at CIT in Hawkesbury and finished his career at the CIL Chemical in Cornwall. After retiring, he and Leila volunteered for 20 some years for Meals on Wheels. Heartfelt thanks to family, friends, and to all at CCH, Cornwall Hospice, and last but not least Rev. Erin McIntyre. It was Royal’s wish that cremation take place and there be no visitation or funeral ceremony. Arrangements care of Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt St, Cornwall, ON. Burial at McLaughlin Cemetery in Vankleek Hill, ON, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to Cornwall Hospice or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
