Raymond Baker
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of RAYMOND ARTHUR BAKER at the age of 87 on Thursday September 19 2024 at Sandfield Place – Long Term Care – in Cornwall, Ontario.
Loving husband of the late Maureen Baker (née Lauzon). Son of the late Percy Baker and the late Gloria Baker (née Quesnel). He is equally predeceased by his brothers Orval, Kenneth & Roy, and sister, Eileen Tessier (née Baker).
He leaves behind a sister, Vivian Beaudette (née Baker), brother-in-law Mark Mallory, and sister-in-law Jeanine Baker (née Beauregard). He will fondly be remembered by his nephew Marc Tessier and his wife Mary, as well as many other nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Raymond’s wishes cremation has taken place.
Visitation will take place on Monday September 30 2024 from 9:00AM to 10:30AM at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Home – East Branch, 614 First Street E followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Blessed Sacrament Church, 321 Tollgate Rd E at 11:00AM
Over the past several years, Raymond has been blessed with wonderful care from the teams at Valley Garden Retirement Home and the St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre – Rehabilitation Unit. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Sandfield Place Long Term Care, who treated him during his stay with the kindness and respect this quiet man so deserved.
Memorial donations can be made to St Joseph’s Continuing Care Center or to Blessed Sacrament Parish.
