MACDONALD, Oliver Darwin – At Hospice Cornwall on Wednesday February 5, 2020. He was 89. He leaves his loving wife of 69 years, Sheila MacDonald. Loving father of Susan Forget (Marcel), David MacDonald (Suzanne), Dwayne MacDonald (Helen), Sheryl MacDonald, and Daniel MacDonald (Peggy). Cherished grandfather of 8 and great-grandfather of 5. Darwin is also survived by his sister Iva and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Oliver and Thelma (Robinson) MacDonald, his daughter, Sandra Forget, his grandson, Thomas Baker, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Family and friends will be received at the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street (across from city hall) Cornwall on Friday February 14th from 2-4 pm & 7-9pm and Saturday from 9:30 am-10:30 am. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis de Sales Church, 434 Second Street West, Cornwall, ON, on Saturday February 15, 2020 at 11am. Cremation to follow. Rite of Committal to be held at St. Lawrence Valley Cemetery at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to Hospice Cornwall would be appreciated by the family.
