1926 – 2023
Muriel Passed away peacefully at Heartwood Long Term Care on Wednesday, November 22nd, 2023 at the age of 97 years. Beloved wife of the late Gordon Maloney (1986). She was the only daughter of Gordon and Hazel (Cain) Cameron with 9 brothers. She leaves to mourn brothers Gary and Caine, daughter Margaret and son David as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her children Robbie (1984), Cameron (2004), Patricia (2012), Claude (2015), Donna (2018), Grant (2018), Nancy (2019), her brothers George, Ivan, Carl, Jimmy, Dwayne, John and Bryan. Muriel is a retired Laidlaw School bus driver, she kept busy quilting and helping others. A special thanks to the dedicated and caring 2nd floor south staff for the loving care they shared with Muriel. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in St. Andrew’s West on Saturday, December 9th, 2023 at 11AM, followed by interment in Parish Cemetery. In Muriel’s memory, donation to CHEO or charity of your choice would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall ON, K6J 3S2.
