Maurice “Moose” Rochon
March 28, 1936 – May 17, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maurice “Moose” Rochon on Friday May 17th, 2024 at Carefor Hospice in Cornwall at the age of 88. Beloved husband of Joan (nee Lafleur) for 65 years. Dear father of Micheal Boutilier (Shari), Diane Merpaw (Bruce) and Lynn Rochon (Ron Brockett). Cherished grandfather of Courtney Brockett (Corey Fontaine), Christina Atkinson (Clark), Christopher Boutilier and Matthew Boutilier and great-grandfather of Ella and Tanner Fontaine, Abel and Avie Atkinson, Mila and Noah Boutilier. Loving brother of Georgette Allaire (late Maurice), Claudette Legault (late Carmen) and Suzan Charlebois (late G.H. Chuck). He was predeceased by his parents Romeo and Irene Rochon (nee Levesque) and siblings Aurilien Rochon (late Dorothy), Fleurette Mousseau and Jacques Rochon (Pauline).
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Moose’s life will be held at a later date. He will be interred with his family at Nativity Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street (613-938-3888). For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to Carefor Hospice, Cornwall.
