Marjorie C. Melanson (MacDonald)
October 16, 1940 – June 5, 2024
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Marjorie Catherine Melanson (MacDonald) of Oshawa, on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 in her 83rd year, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Dr. Jean Louis Melanson, Oncologist (2012) and her parents John (Scottie) MacDonald, Marguerite (Dufresne).
She leaves behind to mourn, three sons Michael (Christina) of Colorado, Stewart of Toronto and Paul of Niagara Falls, and three granddaughters Ashley, Valerie and Angela, as well as her siblings Ronald (Dianne), Stewart (Lynda), Sheila (Fred ) and Joyce all of Cornwall.
Marjorie was a silver medalist graduate of St. Joseph’s School of Nursing class of 1961. She was a natural artist, painting beautiful landscapes and still portraits of flowers, etc. that she gifted to friends and relatives.
At her request she has been cremated.
There will be no memorial service.
Donations may be made in her memory to the Children’s Treatment Centre or a charity of your choice.
