Leo Steven Laponsee
August 14, 1948 – February 27, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Leo Steven Laponsee, at home on Tuesday February 27, 2024 at the age of 75. Beloved companion and friend of Gail Laponsee. Cherished father of Shelley Laponsee (Keith Robertson). Dear brother of Sybil Lalonde, Frances (Frank) Pitre, Dan (Sue) Laponsee, Janet (late Mike) Delaney. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Leo and Janet (nee Terriah) Laponsee and siblings Mavis (late Roy) Baker, Ann (late Dick) Fortier, Connie (Bill) Barnhart, John (Lynn) Laponsee, George (Shirley) Laponsee and Arthur Laponsee.
Leo’s family will receive friends at Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street (613-938-3888) on Wednesday March 6th, 2024 from 6 – 8 p.m. and on Thursday March 7th, 2024 from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. followed by a service in the chapel at 11 a.m. Interment will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in the spring. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
