Kathaleen Gordon
It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Kathaleen Margaret Gordon (nee MacKinnon), a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother. Kathy, as she was affectionately known, left this world on November 11, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and countless cherished memories.
Kathaleen was born on July 10, 1951, and her early years were marked by the love and support of her family, her father John, mother Margaret and brothers Alexander (Elaine) and George (Rose). She also had a half-brother, Bill (Fran). In 1967, fate intervened, and she found her lifelong companion, Douglas Gordon. They married on November 18, 1970 and their love endured for 53 beautiful years.
Kathy’s devotion to family was the cornerstone of her life. She and Doug shared a bond that transcended time, and together they raised a family that became the center of their world. In 1976 they welcomed their first child, Scott (Cynthia), followed in 1980 by the arrival of Sherrie (Jeff). The family continued to blossom, and their love multiplied with the addition of five adoring grandchildren: Sarah, Caroline, Charlie, Cole, and Owen.
