LAPLANTE, Janine (née Montpetit) – Mrs. Janine M. Laplante (Nean) passed away at her residence, Heartwood Long Term Care, Cornwall, on Thursday May 7, 2020 at the age of 90 years. Beloved wife and best friend of the late Alexander “Bud” Laplante. Cherished mother of Donald (Claire) and Daniel (Sandy). Sadly missed by her grandchildren Melanie Dufresne, Kristopher (Lee Anne), Joshua (Desiree), Joey (Ashley), Nicholas (Patty); and 6 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Cherry Dupont of Trois Rivieres, and Betty Ann Shoup of Vancouver Island. Predeceased by her parents Herve and Rose (née Larose) Montpetit; brothers Morely (Clara), Robert (Lise); sisters Vivian Mallette (Roger) and Marie Primeau (John). Neana was a life member of Glen Productions, member of Cornwall Little Theatre, a founding member of the Glen Singers, and a lifetime and devoted parishioner of St. Columban’s Parish. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her and enjoyed her outlook on life. To honour her wishes, a celebration of her life will take place a later date in St. Columban’s Parish Cemetery.
