James Harold Thompson
THOMPSON, James Harold – It is with deep sorrow that we advise of the death of James Harold Thompson on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 age 70, at the Cornwall Community Hospital, after a short, brave fight against complications of diabetes. Jim leaves behind his best friend and loving wife of 45 years, Janet (née Milligan), sister-in-law and brother-in-law Frances (née Milligan) and Roger Legault, sister-in-law Nancy Milligan, two nieces Jennifer Legault and Christina Huertas-Legault, two great-nephews Daniel and Diego Huertas-Legault, the Lewis cousins and their families and many fine and wonderful friends and music lovers. Jim is predeceased by his parents Joyce (née Cowie) and James Edgar Thompson and by his brother Ken.
Jim will be remembered for his kind heart and sense of humour, his love of music and his great smile.
To honour Jim’s wishes, there will be no funeral. Cremation has already taken place and there will be a family gathering in the spring.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to LAHAIE & SULLIVAN CORNWALL HOMES EAST BRANCH 614 First Street East (613-933-2841).
