Iva Lois Presley
Iva Lois Presley (Windsor ) – On May 24, 2019, just five days after celebrating her 88th birthday, Iva Presley passed away in Bourget, Ontario. Born to the late William and Phoebe Windsor, Iva and her now deceased brothers, Arnold (Frances), Glenn, Gordon (Pauline) and twin Ira (Marjorie), lost their mother when Iva was an infant. She was welcomed into the family of aunt Margaret Windsor and her husband, Robert Hill in Pendleton ON, to be raised as a sister for Forrest (Kathaleen Reid). Iva’s marriage to Albert Presley on July 8, 1961 lasted 41 years until his death in 2002. They both worked in Ottawa but, for many years, couldn’t wait to return to the country on weekends. Iva will be well remembered by many nieces and nephews, especially Terry Hill, Rhonda Guitard and Connie Woloschuk. She had a particular soft spot for her late nephew, Robert Hill (Suzanne Mayer). The family wants to thank the staff at Bourget Caressant Care Home for their excellent care these past few difficult months. Family and friends are invited to gather at Munro & Morris Funeral Home, Main Street, Maxville on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 for visitation at 9:30 a.m until time of service at 11:00 a.m., followed by lunch, then interment at Glenburne Cemetery. To reflect Iva’s love of animals, donations to the Ottawa Humane Society www.ottawahumane.ca would be appreciated.
