It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Gale Veronica Roy (née Dupuis) at the Cornwall Community Hospital on Monday, September 23rd, 2024 at the age of 74 years. Beloved wife for 52 years of Richard “Rick” Roy. Loving mother of Chris Roy (Mallory), Mandy Amelotte (Trevor), and Blake Roy (Chelsey). Adored grandmother of Ben and Ella Roy, Kendra and Paisley Amelotte, Hudson and Cameron Roy. Cherished sister of Dianne Turner (Frank), Donna Tinker, D’Arcy Dupuis (Nancy), Colleen Dupuis-Strong (Brad), Norma Lefebvre (Garry), Rob Dupuis (Joel), and Lori Dupuis. Dear sister-in-law of Diane Gosling (George), Maureen Carriere (Ron), and Charlene Leger (Norm). She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She is predeceased by her parents D’Arcy and Hazel Dupuis (née Lalonde) and by one sister-in-law Val Roy MacDonell (Don).
Visitation will take place at Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall, ON from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, October 10th, 2024 and from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 11th, 2024. Memorial Mass will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 11th, 2024 in Precious Blood Church. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
