Peacefully at Chartwell – Lancaster on Friday, January 31, 2020 at the age of 93. Daughter of the late Anna (née St-Onge) and the late Henri Lalonde. Beloved wife of the late Maurice Montpetit. Loving mother of Nicole Alden (Steve) and Normand Montpetit. Proud grandmother of Josée Prudhomme (Spencer Youngson); and great grandmother of Wyatt Youngson. Predeceased by her siblings Jérôme Lalonde (Pearl), Jeanne Sauvé (Simon), Cécile Lefebvre (Louis-Edouard), Raymond Lalonde (Marguerite), Dolores Lauzon (George), Pauline Roussin (Rolland) and Lionel Lalonde. Florence will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are requested to gather at the Salon Funéraire Glengarry Funeral Home, 580 Main St. S., Alexandria, (613) 525-3400 on Saturday, May 23, 2020 from 9 – 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Église St. Martin de Tours, Glen Robertson on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at 11 am. Interment, Cimetière St. Martin de Tours, Glen Robertson. A reception will follow in Salle Paroissiale St. Martin de Tours. In memory of Florence, donations made to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
